Gregg McLeod, founder of Rockpoppy
Why Rockpoppy

An independent pair of eyes.

Gregg started Rockpoppy for leaders who want an honest answer to a simple question: what is actually happening in my business?

His strength is walking into an unfamiliar operation, earning the trust of the people doing the work, finding out how things really run, and translating that into something senior leaders can use. He is equally at home with drivers, mechanics and supervisors as with executives, and he is willing to say the things that don't always get said.

What Gregg believes

Seven beliefs about leadership

The standards Gregg holds himself to, and the lens he brings to every operation he works in.

  1. Titles mean very little.
  2. Character matters.
  3. Lead by example.
  4. Standards matter.
  5. Integrity is consistency.
  6. Admit mistakes.
  7. Leave people stronger.
Background

Leadership under pressure, then operations.

Gregg spent more than a decade in the British military, including service with the Royal Marines and as an Army officer, leading people on operations in Afghanistan and training and mentoring others.

Since moving to the United States he has built and run civilian operations, managing staff, customers and day-to-day delivery, and he now leads Rockpoppy's assessment and development work.

That background isn't the product. It's why he's comfortable walking into a difficult environment, dealing with strong personalities and telling a leadership team what it may not want to hear.
